This is the first two sentences of 《道德经》. It is a very short book, written around 400 BCE by Laozi, discussing Dao - the natural order or the fundamentals of the universe.
Zhuan Shu (篆书, Seal Script) is the script cast on bronze vessels from the Shang and Zhou dynasties of the eleventh to third century BCE. Its later and more unified form was used as the standard writing under the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, who reigned from 221 to 209 BCE.
